These last days seemed pretty fast and for some reason, it also seems like I was having a bit of a hard time comprehending what was going on between my thoughts and what I was doing. When it comes to the making aspect of the days, I believe things were pretty decent and I actually had the chance to try out things with image transfers and prints on different materials such as acetate papers, copper and wooden materials. As much as the outcomes seemed satisfactory and I managed to come up with multiple works, I feel like I could do better in ways when it comes to reflecting on my context at some point. I feel like the main issue or dilemma I keep having in my mind is the power of communication between language and visual stimulation. Of course these both ways can be quite powerful but in some ways especially with art where you even have the slightest aesthetical concern, it is much different to do that with visuality compared to language and words. I used both of these elements on one of my recent projects with the not plonk show and it also was also one of the first projects where I actually enjoyed every process with a different sense of fulfilment later with the way I reflected the context. This might be a tiny reason for the situation I am having here and there but after all, it is -I am pushing myself a bit to say these words- exciting to go through something like that and develop my perspective correspondingly with my project. I believe the main reason why this bothers me more than usual instead of being an exciting challenge is that the process sometimes becomes a bit more personal and other than a journey I share with my works it becomes a harsh way of validation for something I am quite not sure of yet.

I am still thinking about ways of using text within my designs or separately, but I feel like it is something that requires more careful consideration since the power of it. I believe once there is text or any kind of language-based reflection in a work, it takes everything into different aspects, stands on its own and takes the work away from solely being a personal reflection of a context. Open to any kind of interpretation and belongs to the audience in a different weird way more than the artist itself. Maybe I am overthinking things or being way too cautious, but without being so sure of what to say or what I have to say, putting something there just for the sake of it doesn't really seem that right.
